Hello!

My name is Michale Riggs and I am the art teacher at Highland Middle School. I am originally from Cash, Arkansas but relocated to Cherokee Village to teach in 2014, making this my seventh year to teach at HMS. I am a 2009 graduate of Westside High School and a 2014 graduate of Arkansas State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education. I am currently enrolled in the Art of Education University, and will graduate with a Masters of Art Education in the fall of 2021. I am engaged to Mr. Self, the choir teacher in our district, and we have four cats. My personal favorite art medium is acrylic paint, but I very much enjoy drawing, watercolor, and sculpting as well.
